In 2005, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and Chemsultants International formed the Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing. The purpose of the alliance is to provide educational opportunities and resources on proven tape testing methods and state-of-the-art tape testing equipment.

During the past five years, the relationship has continued to grow and has now taken a new turn. With its technical facility in Mentor, OH, USA, Chemsultants International has been selected as the preferred hands-on training facility for the PSTC’s membership and other industry members.

A new PSTC Education Program focused on manufacturing and testing will be held at the Mentor facility in September. The program is one part of the PSTC Education series offering training from the fundamentals to advanced concepts. This new module will provide hands-on experience in the testing laboratory as well as on actual 24” wide pilot coating, laminating and converting equipment.

Another program, still being developed for the summer of 2011, will focus on applications for pressure sensitive adhesive tape developed for technical and sales specialists in the business.
